Luis Vazquez is a performer, choreographer, and visual artist. Originally from Ventura, CA, Luis began his dance training at Santa Susana High School of Performing and Visual Arts at the age of 16, where he was also heavily involved in the fine arts department. He moved to Long Beach, CA to further his dance education and pursue a BA in Dance at Cal State Long Beach.
Luis has had the privilege to train under and perform works by co-founder of LA Contemporary Dance Company Kate Hutter, John Beasant III, Keith Johnson, Lorin Johnson, Sophie Monat, John Pennington, Paige Porter and Andrew Vaca. He has recently been selected to perform at the American College Dance Assoc. Baja Conference Gala 2017. Luis has trained in modern, jazz, ballet, improvisation, choreography, as well as jazz funk, Latin dance, and hip hop.​​​​
His affinity for composition has led him to create several original works for informal showings and school concerts. In addition to being a movement artist, Luis possesses an interest and hobby in costume design. After graduation, Luis plans on auditioning for several modern companies.
